Here are the instructions for the first Battle of Words. If you want to take part write a comment below that you want to join the Battle of Words. After seven days (which will be the 24th of November) the battle starts and every opponent writes a story with the maximum length of twenty BookRix pages. The given theme is:
You are sitting in a bar with your friends and have to explain why the police found your car burnt out 50 miles from the place where you live.
All opponents have seven days (until the 1st of december) to write a story, post it in a BookRix book and link their book in the then-opened Story-Thread.
Afterwards everybody can read the stories and vote for one of them by writing a comment with the name of the personal favorite in the Vote-Thread.
After another seven days - on the 8th of december - the votes are counted up and the winner will be featured for the next two weeks on the BookRix homepage.

Great!
We have four candidates for the first round.
The next step is the following: All of you have the next seven days to write a (short) story to the theme mentioned above. The storys should be uploaded on BookRix in a book and linked to the thread I will open in a few minutes.
If there are any technical issues I will try to help you.
The linking of the book might be a little difficult. I will explain how to put it into this board in the next thread.
Thanks to all of you for being the pioneers starting this contest!

Battle of Words
Sounds interesting, if I made the count(of first five writers.I'm guessing at 3,000 words maximum. A few more details might have helpted). Good luck to all who enter.

Withdraw/vacant space
I have looked at the instructions but I've had zero success. Better than wasting my time by being unable to 'post' a story I'm going to withdraw. So another person might like to take my place. Good luck to those who enter.
