Rules & Instructions
Welcome to the BoW VII!
Here are the rules and instructions for this Battle of Words:
- If you want to take part in the competition, write a comment below that you join the BookRix Battle of Words.
- After seven days (March 4, 2010), the battle starts and every contestant writes at least one story with the maximum length of 28 BookRix pages.
- Every participant can submit as many stories as s/he wants to. However, each story must be a complete story and not part of a series of stories. Poetry work is not eligible for this contest; only short stories.
- Stories that have won prizes in any previous BookRix contest cannot be entered.
- All opponents have seven days (until March 11, 2010) to write stories, upload them as BookRix books and link their works in the then-opened "BoW Story Thread."
- Afterward, everyone can read the stories and vote for them by writing a comment with the name of their favorites in the "BoW Voting Thread." The voting will be open until March 18, 2010.
- The votes then are counted up. The three best-rated books - determined by the amount of votes cast per book - will be given to an independent jury.
- The winner will win $100 cash prize money, an additional surprise and be featured the next week on the BookRix homepage.
We hope to have a fair and interesting competition, and that you enjoy the experience.
