Behind the scenes at BookRix. Who is running the show?
Ok members! Some of you have inquired about the staff and wanted to know more about who’s behind the scenes making BookRix possible for all of you.
As in “The Wizard of Oz”, if you pull back the curtain, you will see many people turning wheels and cranking gears to make BookRix what it is.
Well, we will introduce to you, every week, a new member of the staff so that you can put a face to site and find out that there are really human beings behind your computer screen (sort of).
I’ll start off with introducing myself!
My name is Lineh Derderian and I’m 36 years old, 5’7” and 135 pounds. I like long walks on the beach and quiet, romantic dinners. Ok, seriously now.
I am the online community manager for BookRix.com. I’m the one who has to make sure that everyone plays nice and that the site is in order. I help with support questions, contests, statistics, budgets, newsletters and many other things behind the scenes that make BookRix rockin! I pretty much have to do what my boss tells me. But Tim is a cool boss! You can see Tim in the background
I’m an American who visited Munich a few years ago and never left. I have an advertising/broadcast post-production background with a passion for reading. I’ve been with BookRix since March of 2011 and fell in love with the community instantly!
I have to say that this is really my most favorite job ever! It’s like playing with friends all day! It’s the community that makes my job so rewarding and enjoyable and I’m grateful for being given the opportunity to do this for a living.

Thank you for sharing that about yourself and what you do - it's wonderful to meet someone who loves her job! Your efforts are very much appreciated, and I hope you're here for a long time. This is an amazing site, and its success says volumes about all those who, like you, work so hard "behind the scenes." Thanks again!

What a beauty you are and we can all tell that you love your job. You are always there for us, answering questions, sending private messages - constantly and efficiently on top of things. You are the best and we love you. Oh, and Tim is quite a hottie too. Hee Hee. You KNOW I have a thing for younger cute guys.

Yes...it's so nice to put faces to names. Wow...you're my height, but I'm just a little heavier...not by much..lol. If I made you potato-filled pirogies would you come visit me (us)?
My wife and I used to make them at home and sold them to a bistro some years ago. Took all day to make with 2 differet cheeses. And then we fried onions and mixed and bag them for sale.
Now we just buy them ready made.
