Free Writing Contest "Winter & Poems":


Timeline:
Community Voting - December 1, 2009 to January 15, 2010 (extended until February 8, 2010)
Jury Voting - February 9, 2010 to March 1, 2010
The contest starts on December 1, 2009. Authors must register their stories for the competition by February 8, 2010, 5 pm (EDT) / 2 pm (PDT). Write a poem that has anything to do with winter and upload it with other poems. Then, submit it to the contest. It must have at least 20 BookRix pages. Readers can vote for their favorite poetry book until February 8, 20010. Readers’ votes determine a selection of the best 10 books, "TOP 10". Afterward this selection of the best-rated 10 books will be given to an independent jury consisting of BookRix and the Georgia Writers Association. The jury will choose the best three stories out of the final 10 books. All winners will be announced on or before March 1, 2010.

Prizes:
Both authors and readers can win attractive prizes. You must register to enter a story into the contest and to rate books. You must vote on at least one poetry book to enter the free contest.


Prizes for authors:
First Prize: $800
Second Prize: $500
Third Prize: $300




Prizes for readers:
10 Amazon Vouchers each worth $20 will be raffled for free among all readers taking part in the free voting process. You must vote on at least one book to enter the contest.
