HEART AND SOUL

A Gargoyle Mystery By:
HEART AND SOUL

His last name was G'Argyle, a surname of questionable origins. His given name, Xavion, was either unknown or generally ignored. The last in his family line, he lived as a recluse, his phone number the only point of contact between him and the rest of the world. But because he had a way of breaking information down quickly into perfect order, logic, and resolution, he was sought by governments, international and local police units, but most often by every-day citizens who had a personal mystery to solve (if they could find him).

And conveniently - perhaps - his name became, simply, Gargoyle.

Thank you! I have so many things going on right now, I haven't had time to update this, but others have been asking me to do the same, so as soon as I can, I'll get back to it. I really appreciate your encouraging feedback! ')

Lately I've been having trouble figuring out if I'm approaching storytelling in the right way. You certainly are approaching it quite well. Could you give a quick read of my work (modern romance) and see if something is missing?

Wow, thank you! This is my first attempt at writing a mystery novel, so I'm greatly encouraged that the beginning got your interest.

I'd be delighted to read your story! I have to run a few errands and take my daughter to the doctor, but when I get back, reading your story will... Show more

I enjoyed it for the most part though the starting sentences didn't really pull me in so I would consider rewriting them at some point. In particular I can't wait for it to continue because the description of the private investigator reminded me of the reimagining of Sherlock Holmes as a P.I.

I just realized something. The whole point of the scene isn't the scene itself, but to introduce the main character, Gargoyle. I was going to put one of those asterisk divider things after the last sentence and begin another section in which the reader meets him. Without that... Show more

No problem and I don't see why I wouldn't be able to, just make sure to let me know when you update it. Also on a side note I will be uploading an edited version of Killing's The Only Solution soon, as well as two more poems in the Poetry of Følelser.
