Arianna Dawson is in second year med school and is finding it extremely difficult to cope with life in the city, even though she has already struggled through undergrad. As an only child, her parents had been divorced since she was 3 and Arianna feels she has never known real love. Her father is now in jail half way across the ocean, and her mother nowhere to be seen. But one man seems to change her view into the world; her human anatomy prof, Dr. Leo Holmes, begins helping her through the battle of the world around her. With a strong heart, he tries to lead her to find love with another student named Chad Welles. Arianna follows Leo’s every word to scavenge deeper into her relationship, until Leo realizes he is falling madly in love with his student. As if it was planned, Chad begins feeling Arianna’s true side, and leaves her stranded one night. Luckily, she is saved by Leo they realize the love they both share together. As their relationship progresses, Leo wonders if it is the right thing to do. He admits this to Arianna and finds her dead the next day: she had committed suicide. Traumatized with what he has done to a beautiful women, their secret relationship was never found out about, and Leo kills himself by Arianna’s grave holding a pack of playing cards.
