Wow! What has happened to the old BookRix? Where are all the great contests and conversations that we used to have? Whatever happened to exchanging good quality feedback on stories? Is all this a thing of the past on here? I look around and people haven't posted anything in a long time. It's like Deadsville around here. How sad!

Is there a Facebook group we can all convene in?

mysterywriter723

I'm not sure. Would someone like to start a new group dedicated to the Old BookRix that we all know and love?

angamonkey

I wouldn't mind joining one to be honest.

Hi P,

First off, when you go to Create Book and click it, you will be asked for the title. Type that in. Next, the program will ask you two questions: 1) Do you want to upload a file, or, 2) Type (copy and paste) in the content. i suggest #2. You will then be taken to the screen... Show more

Thank you very much for your tips and advice. I really appreciate it. I will follow it the way you have suggested. It is a good book. I want to share it with people.

felixthecat

Let me know. Once you SAVE everything, even if the portion you save isn't the entire book, you can put it up for free, and readers can go into it!

Does anybody here have any interest in alternate history and the like. I find it's mostly connected to time travel. And while I am on the subject I would like to hear your comments on time travel anomalies and how they occur. Also what happens when a time traveller meets his/her self when returning from a journey into the past.
How does a time-loop occur. I always shy away from these occurrencies. When I travel in time I... Show more

"Hello? This is William...yes, that one. I need your help, guys. No, I don't speak German well, but...what? Yes, William. No NOT Tell, William Taylor from America. Could you repeat that in English? That's better. Kind of. Anyway, it's about my TOC. Huh-uh, not TICTOC. Table of... Show more

It would be nice if here would be still some contest By: Jakob Waechter

Sadly i have seen no contest here for English literature. At least in German there is a monthly contest that is still alive. Such things are good to get readers and discussions to improve things.

Those of us who have been here for a while agree. The contests were a huge part of why many of us were here - they gave us a great incentive, even when the prize wasn't a whole lot. Ah, well. If they still have them in German, maybe one day they'll bring them back here, too.

lazarus67

True.
There's still a lot of activities here.....źzzzzzzz. oh , sorry.

judycolella

Hee-hee-hee!

Jakob Waechter

But it must not be a big certified contest. It would be enough if people can post there books and user can vote lets say every quarter. The Germans do that by manually. An automatic mechanic for that would be good.
