INTRODUCTION

I wrote the book The Secret of Positive Thinking with the intention of helping us overcome all our challenges in life, improve our health and gain an unstoppable flow of energy. All my life I have been trying to practice positive thinking, especially when working with people in direct sales which has been my line of business for the last twenty years. All the thoughts and claims that you will read in this book have been verified in person by myself during my most difficult moments which caught up with me some years ago. I overcame those moments through faith, trust and positive thinking, and began to build my life all over again. Today my life is filled with joy and pleasure.

Nowadays many people experience defeat  when facing daily obstacles in life. We must learn to think in a positive way and to embed positive thought patterns into our lives. If we learn to think in a positive manner, we can raise ourselves above the obstacles and begin to live a happy and pleasing life. I tend to think of this book as of an ENERGY MANUAL which is action-orientated and designed for personal improvement. By applying the thoughts of this book you may experience better health and a new satisfaction in life. I sincerely hope that this book will teach the reader to think positively and bring them health, success and better human relations.

SOME ADVICE FOR POSITIVE THINKING

Positive and optimistic thinking is the foundation to a successful life. A positive approach in life has helped millions of people to take control of their lives, to realize their potential and to achieve the goals they have set themselves. The principles which you are about to find in this book are both practical and proven; the more we practice them, the better we can understand and apply them. Positive thinking is a process through which we can begin to improve our life.

You are the only person who can control your thinking. Others can give you advice but only you alone can control what your mind will accept or discard. Positive thinking involves a constant effort to substitute negative thoughts with positive, encouraging thoughts. It is a process which must be practiced during each waking moment until substituting negative thoughts with positive, encouraging thoughts becomes a habit. Our muscles can become stronger and more resilient and the same also applies to our mind.

If we can overcome the negative influences and replace them with positive thoughts and ideas, we will release a powerful force which will help us achieve any goal that we have  set ourselves. The secret lies in CONCENTRATION.

Positive thinking, combined with a choice of any given goal is the beginning of any success. Philosophers have been teaching us for centuries to get to know ourselves first. A person changes his thinking and the thoughts in his mind into physical reality. We must decide which thoughts to focus on and these positive or negative thoughts will manifest in our reality.

We must develop regular thought pattern habits and they should be followed by action. If we approach the challenges and the future with positive thinking, we can direct our energy in the right direction in order to successfully accomplish our mission.

We could say that EXPECTATIONS are the decisive factor! If you expect to accomplish something successfully, you will succeed; if you do not expect it, you will fail. People were not born to think in a negative manner, we have been taught to do so. We must learn to stop thinking in this negative thought pattern we have acquired. We must create a habit of replacing negative patterns with positive thoughts. Whenever we catch ourselves in the act of negative thinking we must immediately remind ourselves to replace the negative thought with the positive.

Richard Branson was asked what had contributed most to his success. He replied that he was trying to occupy his mind with thinking about what he wanted to achieve so that there would be no room in his mind for the things he didn`t want to focus on.

OPTIMISM

Optimism gives us strength. Optimism means looking at the world from a different perspective. We focus to be productive and to believe that we can change the difficult and challenging situations in life.

Optimism is the moving force of life. Optimism originates from the Latin word OPTIMUS which means “the best”. An optimistic person is always looking for the best in every situation and always expects good things to happen. Some people see things as they are; others see them as they could be.

GRATITUDE

  • It is not the grateful who are happy, but vice versa.
  • Gratitude is the best cure we can experience.
  • Showing gratitude is the least we can do for another person.
  • Feeling gratitude but not expressing it is like having a present but not giving it.
  • Happiness in life is a spiritual experience of living every minute with love and gratitude.
  • Gratitude changes what we already have into enough.
  • Gratitude is the best example of positive thinking.
  • There is always something we can be grateful for.
  • Gratitude is one of those sweet shortcuts to finding peace and happiness for our interior.
  • Gratitude is a way of attracting more to our life.
  • Be grateful and a bad day will become a gift.
  • Through gratitude we will open the door to the wisdom and creativity of the universe.
