Many thanks for writing this graphic piece . It takes me, reminds me of another part of the Empire where city life for me as a child became constantly interrupted by the rain.People never forget but they do need reminding of disasters and how frail human life can be.

What you have written would make a fantastic National Geographic article complete with your own pictures. It might be a way of putting it out there for the world to appreciate what is happening in your neck of the planet. What I would suggest however is to resist combining past and present tense verbs in the same paragraph and sometimes sentences. That is bad grammar. I would write this story like a newshound would.
