Er verliebt sich in die Frau, steigt aus der Forschung aus und will nun von an "alles richtig machen" und sich vor allem um die Förderung behinderter Kinder kümmern. Dazu geht er sogar in eine Camphill-Community in Irland, wo behinderte Menschen in betreuter Gemeinschaft leben. Seine pädagogische Überfürsorge scheitert an der Realität und seine Liebe findet ein schreckliches Ende, weil die geliebte Frau und ihr Kind vom biologischen Vater aus Groll und Eifersucht ermordet werden.
