Zwei Königreiche, ein Schicksal. Vor langer, langer Zeit hatten zwei Könige einen furchtbaren Streit. Deswegen trennten sich die beiden Königreiche voneinander. Seither gab es das Königreich des Wassers und das des Feuers. Und nur die Unendliche Wüste trennt die beiden. In dieser Welt, die von Macht, Intrigen und Eifersucht bestimmt wird, leben Avalen und Rafael. Beide sind die Kinder von Königen. Nur mit dem Unterschied, dass Avalen die Prinzessin des Königreiches des Wassers ist und Rafael der Prinz vom Königreich des Feuers. Avalen, die junge, bildhübsche Prinzessin, die kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt, soll gegen ihren Willen verheiratet werden. Mit dem Prinzen Rafael. Avalen sträubt sich dagegen und verlässt das Königshaus. Somit verrät sie ihren Vater und ist nun nicht mehr offiziell blauen Blutes. Ihr einziger Wunsch ist es frei zu sein. Doch noch ahnt sie noch nicht, welchen Preis sie dafür zahlen muss. Rafael ist ein Schürzenjäger und abenteuerlustig. Vielleicht will er gerade deshalb die Prinzessin finden und sie wieder zurückholen. Oder ist da doch etwas höheres im Spiel, wie Schicksal? Denn noch ahnt keiner wer der Verräter von Allem ist... Es ist ja nicht nur so, dass dieser Junge Gefühle für ihn empfindet, die Gil nach der Zeit auch erwidert. Dieser Junge, Raw, ist auch ein spirituelles Wesen und geht mit Gil eine spirituelle Partnerschaft ein, um dunkle Wesen zu besiegen. Gil lernt andere spirituelle Partner, wie zum Beispiel die Dämonenprinzessin, Yuki und ihren Partner Luca kennen.
