All cleverness, whether in the rapid use of that difficult instrument the tongue, or in some other art unfamiliar to villagers, was in itself suspicious: honest folk, born and bred in a visible manner, were mostly not overwise or clever—at least, not beyond such a matter as knowing the signs of the weather; and the process by which rapidity and dexterity of any kind were acquired was so wholly hidden, that they partook of the nature of conjuring. In this way it came to pass that those scattered linen-weavers—emigrants from the town into the country—were to the last regarded as aliens by their rustic neighbours, and usually contracted the eccentric habits which belong to a state of loneliness. In fact, they can take up all of your time without you realizing it. They’re all important. You can’t NOT do them. You don’t have that option.
What typically ends up happening in these situations is that we put ourselves on the back burner.
We sacrifice our need to pursue our dreams in favor of doing what is expected of us.
If possible, we honor our need for time to focus on ourselves to those moments when we’re not being called upon to handle daily tasks.
You Are Responsible For Your Success!
Ultimately YOU are the only one who has power over your life.
If you aren’t pursuing your goals because of someone else, you are essentially using that person as an excuse or a buffer. It’s always easier to place responsibility on someone else than yourself.
Stepping outside of your comfort zone isn’t easy.
You shouldn’t expect it to be easy. Be prepared to do some tough personal work. If you have goals to pursue but haven’t, it’s important that you figure out why and fix it. I’ve been where you are. In fact, I expect I’ll be here again.
The process of stepping outside of your comfort zone and pushing your limits is an ongoing one. It doesn’t really get any easier. It just becomes an integral part of personal growth.

A group of pseudo scientists assemble to devise a revolutionary experiment that could change the concept of creation and evolution of species. The experiment would create the bases of a sudden transformation of a dog into a man. The scientists discuss issues that may concern such transformation from a dog into a man such as feeding, sex habits, and bathroom routines. Freud, Darwin and God are cited copiously to support such a sudden metamorphosis. At the end of the convention the scientists are preparing manuals to be used by people that would like to transform their dog into a man. Bruce and Estelle, the owners of a German shepherd dog, named Rex are some of the dog masters that receive those manuals by mail. They find out that Rex’s dream is in fact to become a superman. Bruce and Estelle transform their backyard into a classroom; the table is full of books ready for reading and two posters depicting a dog male and a dog female anatomy on the back wall. They begin teaching Rex elementary things such as vocabulary, numbers, sexual behavior and manly attitude towards women. Estelle especially spends time showing Rex her body, letting him touch her breasts, and all. Bruce and Estelle also discuss other topics such as the history of humanity, time, religion, sins, and facts of life. What started as a routine class following the “scientific” manuals becomes slowly a hodge-podge of useful teaching coupled with “information waste”. Estelle talks of a possibility to see one day her mom pass by and find out that Rex is not anymore a dog. At that stage Rex has enough knowledge to stop listening to his two tutors and become involved in expressing original ideas and also declare openly his love for Estelle, which infuriates Bruce. During the lessons Rex’s appearance changes slowly into a man. Almost at the end of this transformation process a woman wearing circus like huge prosthetic legs approaches the three protagonists. She tells them that their attempt to transform a dog into a man is illegal and threatens to report them to the police. Bruce and Estelle ignore her. Only Rex becomes apprehensive that police may end his dream to become a full-fledged man. As physical transformation of Rex into a man becomes obvious, Estelle asks him to change his “fur coat” with a cardigan she knitted meanwhile. As expected, Estelle’s mom comes by one day and is pleasantly surprised by Rex’s transformation into a gentleman though she finds Rex’s declared passion for Estelle very disturbing. She runs out of the courtyard into the house with the pretext of taking a nap. Not long after that a group made out of four policemen and a priest and exhibiting a sturm-und-drang behavior push through the door and demand explanations about “the metamorphosis situation”. The priest is the one that reads the bible paragraphs that describe the human-dog coitus as being a forbidden sin. A “Scientific” policeman inquires about Bruce’s qualification to transform dogs into men. [more]

If you ever wondered what it might be like to adopt a child, then this book might be for you. My life is boring, and I mean that in a good way. I am not rich. I am not very smart. I am completely average. My family was not well off. My parents were teachers and musicians, insuring that they were not going to have a comfortable lifestyle.
I grew up in a community that was ideal for a kid. I lived in “Surf City” Huntington Beach, California during the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. Back then it was easier for an average family to survive on a moderate income. Things are becoming so expensive and more complicated than ever. I do not know if a family like the one I grew up in could live in Huntington Beach now without some help.
After I moved to Los Angeles and attended UCLA, though I had dreams of being a writer, I knew that I was going to work in restaurants. These days as you watch television, it might seem that working in the food business looks glamorous, but I can assure you that it is not. It is a living but not what you might think. I like my career as a food manager but it is not for everyone. Writing is not always fun when you get right down to it and has the added benefit of not being a reliable way to pay the bills.
My line of work exposes me to many young adults who are attending college. As a person who now is old enough to be their parent I am in an advice-giving position. I like to say two things about my career when I am asked. First I say "unfortunately, I chose the right career for me" and "do not work in restaurants, if you can."
It is a miracle that I have been able to stay married and to carry on a somewhat normal life with all of the odd hours I need to work. Gone are the days of having a reliable and well paying job. I am lucky and grateful to work at UCLA. UCLA is stable, that is for sure.
I graduated UCLA almost twenty years ago. I began working as a manager while I was finishing my undergraduate degree in English literature. After I worked in restaurant jobs for a few years, my wife and I wanted to have children. We experienced trouble with conceiving a child. This was not a delightful situation, but if there was a time that I could say that I had to grow up, that was the time.
Meanwhile, my father passed away and then my father in law passed away. My wife and I sought out different medical treatments to have children that were not successful.
The one thing that my wife and I always had was a strong bond. My wife is very tenacious. She is a wonderful example for me. We then finally learned how to adopt a child. There is a process that we went through within the County of Los Angeles. This book is the story in part, at least from my point of view, of our adoption of our son. It was easy and it was not easy.
If there is one thing you could take away from this book, it is that if we could do it, so could you. [more]

In our deep internal areas there are areas of interchange where everything means everything and when we talk about something we talk about other thing. At this area and at this level what is happened is the mutuality of feelings, meanings and impression. Writing sometime becomes a big interchange process and when you use some generalized unite, you fetch its semantic aureole with a constant circle of meanings. So that words of general use always has a constant semantic action in addition to the contextual meaning and the complementary part in the sentence which is related to this general word will talk in a way or another on a same deep core. So when we use a generalized word like (I, his, our) we always talking about multiple subjects one of them the textual contextual rational meaning but beside this we also talk about other things which they are deep in our internal.
The language in our internal (the consciousness and the sub-consciousness) has many level, and every word has many semantic radiation and many circle in every level. The text and the words in it are always talk about many things, and summon many meaningful circle not just the contextual meaning or its circle but in every level of meaning and every level of language in the conscious and subconscious area the text and the words fetch multiple circles of meaning and multiple semantic aureoles.
Because of these facts we can make one interrelated text from multiple texts by special lines of meaning or a specific unite of writing. In volume one of "MUTUALITY" we will find the universal text of the generalized words have been used in multiple text, so it is a text formed from quotes from multiple text but you will see the strong correlation between its sentences and its parts.
Although every word and every text has mutuality circles but there are specific words in the writing of every author has a big transfiguration from the interchange view. He uses them widely and deeply with vast symbolic actions. In these deep interchange areas, the writer is not the author mind but it is the author souls. We should emphasize that the soul have a wider experience more the mind, and the mind and its knowledge is a part of the souls.
The most important feature in the mutual meanings are out of time and place, so they can take any shape smoothly and this is reflect the timeless nature of soul in comparison with timed mind.

We are now in front of many facts about the beautiful artistic writing:
First: In the last twenty years, the writing beautifulness and artistry in our awareness have been transmitted from the aesthetic view into the expressive view. Now the creative people concern with feeling expression more than the aesthetic applications.
Second: We can differentiate three eras of stylistic approaches about the beautifulness and artistry in the writing, the pre-modernism which concerns with power of the meaning connection, the modernism which concerns with aesthetic of the writing and the post modernism, the present era, which concerns with powerful feeling expression.
Third: In our globalisation and post-globalisation era, there is a powerful feeling and practice of free writing which doesn’t or shouldn’t observe the rules, the laws or the traditions in the beautiful writing, the literature, even the genre.
Fourth: Now, we are in front of new literary writing which doesn’t fit or doesn’t want to follow any genre classification, it is a non-genric or trans-generic writing.
Five: In this very free seeking era, why we need to study the stylistic elements of the present artistic writing and its law?
I will answer the last question first and the other points I will deal with through the chapters of the book. In fact the human is a very selective creature and always seeking the better, and appreciate the best and imitate it, this is a point. In other aspect the deep humanistic instinctual recognition or experience, despite its truthfulness, it is vague and can’t exit from the primary view for the world things while the soul is a very complex and a highly knowing creature and can’t satisfied by the primary instinctual experience, so it needs the intellectual experience and analysis to reach its goals in everything, not just in aesthetic and beauty. In the process of the analysis, the intellectual recognition and the systematic differentiation of our experiences about the beautiful writing, we don’t add or invent something, not present in the text or in the writing or we put some elements which they are strange to the instinctual experience, but in fact, the intellectual analysis of the beautiful writing is a thorough analysis of the instinctual experience. Yes, our intellectual experience is always an analysis of our instinctual experience. So this book is a collection of intellectual analysis of the instinctual experiences in different aspects of the beautiful writing. So, I won’t find a new thing, but I will try to show what is present. I believe absolutely that the mind can’t find anything but just a tool to explain what the instinct knows and experiences. Part1: Apply basic physical concepts to explain the operation and solve problems related to electrical machines.
Describe the construction of simple magnetic circuits, both with and without an air gap. Explain the basic laws which govern the electrical machine operation, such as Faraday's Law, Ampere-Biot-Savart's Law, and Lenz's Law. Apply Faraday's Law of electromagnetic induction, Ampere-Biot-Savart's Law, and Lenz's Law to solve for induced voltage and currents in relation to simple magnetic circuits with movable parts. Illustrate the principle of the electromechanical energy conversion in magnetic circuits with movable parts.
Part 2: Explain the principles underlying the performance of three-phase electrical machines.
Compare and contrast concentric and distributed windings in three-phase electrical machines. Identify the advantages of distributed windings applied to three-phase machines. Explain how the pulsating and rotating magnetic fields are produced in distributed windings. Calculate the synchronous speed of a machine based on its number of poles and frequency of the supply. Describe the process of torque production in multi-phase machines.
Part 3: Analyse, operate and test three-phase induction machines.
Calculate the slip of an induction machine given the operating and synchronous speeds. Calculate and compare between different torques of a three-phase induction machine, such as the locked rotor or starting torque, pull-up torque, breakdown torque, full-load torque or braking torque. Develop and manipulate the equivalent circuit model for the three-phase induction machine. Analyse, and test experimentally, the torque-speed and current-speed characteristics of induction machines. and discuss the effects of varying such motor parameters as rotor resistance, supply voltage and supply frequency on motor torque-speed characteristics. Perform no-load and blocked rotor tests in order to determine the equivalent circuit parameters of an induction machine. Explore various techniques to start an induction motor. Identify the applications of the three-phase induction machines in industry and utility. Classify the insulations implemented in electrical machines windings and identify the factors affecting them.
Part4. Investigate the performance, design, operation, and testing of the three-phase synchronous machine.
Describe the construction of three-phase synchronous machines, particularly the rotor, stator windings and the rotor saliency. Develop and manipulate an equivalent circuit model for the three-phase synchronous machine. Sketch the phasor diagram of a non-salient poles synchronous machine operating at various modes operation, such as no-load operation, motor operation, and generator operation. Investigate the influence of the rotor saliency on machine performance. Perform open and short circuit tests in order to determine the equivalent circuit parameters of a synchronous machine. Identify the applications of the three-phase synchronous machines in industry and utility List and explain the conditions of parallel operation of a group of synchronous generators. Evaluate the performance of the synchronous condenser and describe the power flow control between a synchronous condenser and the utility in both modes: over and under excited. The main purpose of telling you that the definition of calories is based on the rising of temperature is to tell you an interesting fact. We have just seen that when our body raises the temperature, it burns calories, so when you drink ice cold water your body loses calories in raising that ice cold water to body temperature.Now let us get the math right.
Our body temperature is at 37 degree Celsius.
The temperature of ice cold water can be safely said to be 0 degree Celsius.There are 473.18 grams in 16 fluid ounces of water.It takes 1 calorie to raise 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius.So, if your body raises the temperature of 473.18 grams of water by 37 degree Celsius it burns 17508 calories.
But this is calorie with a small c. It actually denotes only 17.5 calories. You might be thinking that losing 17.5 Calories doesn’t count much compared to the calories we intake.
But, you are not going to drink just one 16 once glass of water are you? Even if you stick to the recommended minimum of 8 glasses of water you will end up burning 70 Calories in a day and that too by doing practically nothing. You can also increase the water intake if you want to shed a few extra pounds
.Well, although it is definite that drinking ice cold water helps you to burn calories you should not try to replace it with exercise. You should continue with all the weight reduction methods that you already on to. You can just boost up your effort by drinking ice cold water. [more]

Yoga is a science, and not a vague, dreamy drifting or imagining. It is an applied science, a systematized collection of laws applied to bring about a definite end. It takes up the laws of psychology, applicable to the unfolding of the whole consciousness of man on every plane, in every world, and applies those rationally in a particular case. This rational application of the laws of unfolding consciousness acts exactly on the same principles that you see applied around you every day in other departments of science. You know, by looking at the world around you, how enormously the intelligence of man, co-operating with nature, may quicken "natural" processes, and the working of intelligence is as "natural" as anything else. We make this distinction, and practically it is a real one, between "rational" and "natural" growth, because human intelligence can guide the working of natural laws; and when we come to deal with Yoga, we are in the same department of applied science as, let us say, is the scientific farmer or gardener, when he applies the natural laws of selection to breeding. The farmer or gardener cannot transcend the laws of nature, nor can he work against them. He has no other laws of nature to work with save universal laws by which nature is evolving forms around us, and yet he does in a few years what nature takes, perhaps, hundreds of thousands of years to do. And how? By applying human intelligence to choose the laws that serve him and to neutralize the laws that hinder. He brings the divine intelligence in man to utilise the divine powers in nature that are working for general rather than for particular ends.
So is it in the application of the laws of psychology that we call Yoga. Systematized knowledge of the unfolding of consciousness applied to the individualized Self, that is Yoga. As I have just said, it is by the world that consciousness has been unfolded, and the world is admirably planned by the LOGOS for this unfolding of consciousness; hence the would-be yogi, choosing out his objects and applying his laws, finds in the world exactly the things he wants to make his practice of Yoga real, a vital thing, a quickening process for the knowledge of the Self. There are many laws. You can choose those which you require, you can evade those you do not require, you can utilize those you need, and thus you can bring about the result that nature, without that application of human intelligence, cannot so swiftly effect. Take it, then, that Yoga is within your reach, with your powers, and that even some of the lower practices of Yoga, some of the simpler applications of the laws of the unfolding of consciousness to yourself, will benefit you in this world as well as in all others. For you are really merely quickening your growth, your unfolding, taking advantage of the powers nature puts within your hands, and deliberately eliminating the conditions which would not help you in your work, but rather hinder your march forward.
